Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 to 2022. A part of the Democratic Party, she previously was a part of the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) and the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011); the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015) as well as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was an CNN political commentator from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and then became the governor of Iowa. Psaki was then appointed press secretary in John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. Psaki worked as the director of communications to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and also as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was appointed press secretary for President Obama's election campaign. [20] On February 11, 2013, Psaki became spokesperson for the United States Department of State. There was speculation she would replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, in the Department of State.[21] But Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30, 2014. In 2015, she returned to the White House as communications director and stayed through the end of the Obama administration.
